• “irrespective of” が基本形

  “irrespective” は多くの場合 “of” とセットで使い、“irrespective of age” のように「〜に関係なく」という意味になります。

• “regardless of” よりややフォーマル

  意味は “regardless of” に近いですが、“irrespective of” は文書・規則・説明などでやや硬く響きます。日常会話では “regardless of” の方がよく使われます。
